Quran’s Glorious Promise
The Holy Book gives the good news about the righteous inheriting the earth as a divine promise to believers:
“God has promised the righteously striving believers to appoint them as His deputies on earth, as He had appointed those who lived before. He will make the religion that He has chosen for them to stand supreme. He will replace their fear with peace and security so that they will worship God alone and consider no one equal to Him. Whoever becomes an unbeliever after this will be a sinful person.” (Verse 55 of Surah An-Nur)
This verse promises that believers who do good deeds will form a society that has certain features. First, they inherit the earth as those who were before them and were in power. Their succession is based on their gathering of righteous people. They are those who are righteous and strive for good.
Second, the religion of them will be established on earth and their differences in principles and their negligence in acting upon minor rules will not shake their religion and hypocrisy will not affect them. At the time, Muslims will not be in the form of so many denominations with each considering others unbelievers.
Third, fear will turn into security so that they will have no fear about the religion either from internal or external enemies.
So overall, the three promises about this society is inheriting and ruling the earth, establishment of their religion on earth and the removal of all sources of insecurity.

These magnificent promises that have been emphasized in this verse have not been realized yet. When have the righteous people been able to rule all over the earth with their mercy and justice and establish their rules with full freedom and without fear? So inevitably, if this Quranic promise is going to be fulfilled, it will be at the time of the Savior. And the Mutawatir Hadiths from the Holy Prophet (PBUH) point to the fact that such a society will come.
